STRAVA
Recon.

Released: April 13, 2026

Until today, BikeScout was a tactical navigator, a tool for the "before." It told you where to go and what to expect. But intelligence is useless without a feedback loop. Today, we are closing that loop with full Strava Integration.

We’ve launched the analyze_strava_activity module. This isn't just another leaderboard sync. It is a post-ride forensic diagnostic tool that tells you exactly why your ride felt the way it did.

The Challenge: Performance vs. Reality

Why was your average speed 3km/h slower on Sunday compared to last month? Strava will tell you that you were slower. BikeScout will tell you it's because the 15mm of rain on Saturday created a "High Mud Risk" on that specific clay-based segment.

By fetching your actual GPS polyline, BikeScout performs a retrospective environmental audit. We pull the exact weather data and soil saturation index from the moment you were on the trail.

The Challenge: Tactical Fusion

The new module executes what we call "Tactical Fusion." It decodes your GPS telemetry and automatically identifies the surface type you rode on. If you were on an MTB session, it applies different physics coefficients than a Gravel ride.

It reconciles your perceived effort (Suffer Score) with external hazards like wind gusts or temperature drops. This is the difference between data and intelligence.

The Challenge: Validating the Gear

Did you run the right tires? Was your pressure too high? By looking at the terrain breakdown of your actual path, BikeScout evaluates your equipment choices. It provides a technical briefing that serves as a debriefing for your next mission.

The Future: Constant Evolution

BikeScout is no longer just a scout; it’s a coach that understands the dirt. By connecting your performance to our geospatial engine, we are building a database of truth that standard cycling apps simply cannot match.
